Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling with accuracy and care.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and ensure proper test requisitions.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity during handling.
