Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and process specimens; centrifuging and maintaining data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and labeling according to protocol.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations; participate in annual trainings.
