Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a phlebotomist in Riverdale, GA, for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role involves performing venipuncture, specimen handling, and ensuring compliance with lab procedures.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, valid phlebotomy certification, and proficiency in lab data entry and MS Office. Schedule is 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients and demonstrate technique with needles.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures; follow transport protocols.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
