Job summary

Henderson Group in Farmville, VA is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support blood collection and specimen processing. The role is 3 months with potential for permanent placement, located in Farmville, VA, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule. Requires experience with hard sticks, pediatrics, and straight-stick needles.

Main duties include phlebotomy, labeling, centrifuging, data recording, and ensuring specimen integrity, with OSHA compliance and annual trainings.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously.
• Package and transport specimens per protocol and OSHA requirements.
