Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Clearwater, FL seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month contract with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper handling and transport.

Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification are required, plus HS diploma and MS Office familiarity. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7am–3:30pm, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check test requisitions against script for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries by phone or results.
