Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Gahanna, OH. Work hours are 8:30am–5:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 8:30am–8:00pm on Thursdays. The assignment is projected to last 3–4 months.

The position requires at least one year of phlebotomy experience and involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and specimen transport while adhering to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Ability to label, centrifuge and transport specimens according to procedures.
• Clear and courteous explanation of venipuncture process to patients.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Collect, store and transport specimens per established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimens and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper storage temperatures.
