Job summary

Henderson Group in Ohio is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Gahanna. The role involves performing blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and ensuring accurate patient data and test orders. Schedule is 830am-5pm on M,T,W,F and 830am-8pm on Th, for a 3–4 month project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience performing blood draws and venipuncture.
• Ability to label and process specimens per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens; centrifuge and decontaminate as required.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match requisitions and document maintenance data.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Verify patient information and keep laboratory records up to date.
