Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years experience performing venipunctures in fast-paced labs or hospital settings.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and related specimen collection per procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and document specimens and maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure test requisitions match labels and test orders.
• Package and store specimens per temperature and protocol requirements.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
