SteveRecruiter, LLC in Owasso, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist (6029) for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon–Fri 7:00 am–3:30 pm. The role involves collecting blood samples, labeling, centrifuging, and proper specimen handling to meet test orders.

Requirements include a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure all physician orders are understood and followed.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and label accordingly.
• Package and transport specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend department trainings and respond to inquiries.
