Job summary

CITADEL Pacific Ltd. is seeking an Outside Plant Technician to support the BEAD Project. The role involves installing, maintaining, and testing copper and fiber optic infrastructure in outdoor and indoor settings, with responsibility for accurate field notes and schematics.

Under supervision, you will splice cables, troubleshoot with OTDR and meters, and assist engineers with project timelines and site surveys. This is a temporary, year-long position with safety and compliance as priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school desirable.
• 3 years of outside plant installation/repair in copper and fiber.
• Certification in fiber installation desirable but not required; valid driver's license with manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain outside plant infrastructure including copper and fiber.
• Splice copper and fiber cables; maintain splicing schematics and records.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber using OTDR, power meter, scope.
• Support project timelines; provide field reports to engineers.
• Follow OSHA/FCC/NESC/NEC standards; ensure safety procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training to interns or trainees.
• Perform callouts and standby work to restore services.
