Job summary

UniSea is seeking a Temporary Network Administrator to support and maintain networking systems across Redmond, WA and Dutch Harbor, AK. This limited-term role ends in September 2028, with responsibilities including monitoring, troubleshooting, and documenting network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or higher in a related field, 3–5 years of network experience, strong problem-solving skills, and CCNA certification or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Services, or related field.
• CCNA certification or equivalent certification/work experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of IT experience with significant network administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Serve as escalation point for network infrastructure issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software problems.
• Maintain accurate network documentation.
• Research improvements to network reliability, security, and bandwidth.
• Support network design, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain communication systems, including related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance with vendors; assist employees with IT issues.
