Job summary

University of Cincinnati is seeking a Software Developer for a temporary assignment (1–2 years) paid through a third-party payrolling agency. The role supports development of web apps, APIs, integrations, and databases within a predominantly Microsoft .NET environment.

The candidate will work with UC technology teams, focusing on secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions and contributing to Agile development practices across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building modern web applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong proficiency with C# and .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and web development practices.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, relational databases, and SQL, with secure coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and consume APIs and system integrations across enterprise apps and cloud services.
• Write tests, perform code reviews, and follow CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ensure security, accessibility, and maintainability per university standards.
