Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a contract NDT Technician to perform nondestructive testing per NAS410/BSS7698 standards. You will work with ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant methods to assure aerospace component integrity.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, checks, documentation, and mentoring Level 1 personnel. Requires NAS410 Level 2 and a high school diploma, with paid training and competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of NDT principles and techniques.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ethical standards with a desire to maintain a high level of quality.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize equipment, conduct system checks, process parts, interpret results and document outcomes.
• Obtain formal training hours for methods with certification and add-on training as required.
• Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique and method.
• Assist in developing and implementing NDT procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain NDT equipment and calibrate as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to address non-conformances.
• Participate in audits and inspections and stay current with industry standards.
• Develop written work instructions from approved procedures and supervise trainees.
