Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking an Assist Contract Manufacturing (CM) Manager to negotiate contractor rates, prepare bid packets, and coordinate with product management and the SCD team to secure capacity aligned with our strategic plan.

You will qualify new contract manufacturers with QA, manage material storage, track costs, and perform JDE transactions (BOMs, routings, item setups) while driving improvements and ensuring ISO/SOX compliance; travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Negotiating CM rates and preparing bid packets.
• Coordinate with product management and SCD to ensure capacity.
• Qualify new contract manufacturers with QA.
• Manage raw materials and finished goods stocking levels.
• Track costs and other metrics; drive process improvements.
• Perform JDE transactions (BOMs, routings, item setups).
• Audit and maintain ISO and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist CM Manager in negotiating CM rates and bid packets.
• Work with product management & SCD to ensure adequate CM capacity.
• Qualify new contract manufacturers with QA collaboration.
• Manage material storage and stock levels; select carriers.
• Monitor costs and metrics; investigate CPRs; drive improvements.
• Process JDE items: BOMs, routings, item setups; report generation.
• Maintain customer relationships and meet needs.
• Assist with CM site audits and ISO/SOX compliance.
• Travel up to 15% for audits, trials and ISO training.
