Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Management Services, is seeking a Contract Manager II in Tallahassee to manage statewide contracts for the Division of Real Estate Development and Management.

You will monitor contractor performance, maintain files and dashboards, coordinate with Facilities Managers and contractors, perform site inspections, draft amendments, and support solicitations. This on-site role requires strong communication and regulatory knowledge, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in professional procurement, contract management, or related field.
• Experience substitutions allowed on a year-for-year basis for education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and report contractor performance through tracking spreadsheets.
• Maintain regular communication with Facilities Managers and contractors via calls, emails, and meetings.
• Ensure statewide reporting spreadsheets are completed on time and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain electronic and hard contract files, including amendments, renewals, and certificates.
• Implement corrective action plans for noncompliance and follow up with managers and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure insurance certificates and performance bonds are current.
• Draft preliminary amendments and routing documents for contract changes.
• Assist with draft, review, and approval for new solicitations; some travel required.
