Job summary

Lexicon seeks a Contract Manager to oversee all contractual aspects of subcontractor construction contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and project standards.

You will draft, review, and formalize contracts for piling, civil foundations, structural steel erection, piping, and electrical work; manage change orders and close-out; and monitor performance and risk across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in contract management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines.
• Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for specific project requirements.
• Collaborate with project management, legal, and finance on contract-related issues.
• Manage change orders, amendments, and close-out.
• Monitor contractor performance for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide routine reporting on contract status and risk.
• Perform other administrative duties related to contract management.

Contract Manager Position Summary

The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing all contractual aspects of sub-contractor construction contracts. This includes sub-contractor compliance with Company & established Project policies, legal requirements, and construction standards. This position will be responsible for contract development, administration, and contract close out including claims and dispute resolution.

Contract Manager Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines, e.g. piling, civil foundations, structural steel erection, piping, electrical, etc.
• Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for specific requirements of the construction projects including contractual tools to ensure on time and on budget execution, e.g. liquidated damages, incentives, etc.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, legal, and others on contact related issues.
• Manage change orders, amendments, and close-out.
• Routine monitoring of contractor performance ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, etc.
• Manage chains, disputes, and conflict resolution in collaboration with Project Management, Legal, Finance, etc.
• Provide routine reporting on contract status, risk, compliance, etc.
• Various other administrative and clerical duties as assigned related to contract management.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Contract Manager Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum five years of experience in contract management; preferably in capital Projects or construction. Construction purchasing experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Contract Manager Physical Demands

Must be able to work weekends and long hours in a high-pressure working environment. Must be accessible at any time for emergencies. Requires frequent bending, stooping and lifting. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.
