Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee contractual aspects of sub-contractor construction contracts. You will develop, administer, and close out contracts, including handling claims and disputes with project teams, legal, and finance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in contract management, with experience in capital projects or construction and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Weekend/long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in contract management; preferably in capital projects or construction.
• Construction purchasing experience required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines.
• Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for project requirements to ensure on-time and on-budget execution.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, legal, and others on contract-related issues.
• Manage change orders, amendments, and close-out.
• Monitor contractor performance for scope, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Manage claims, disputes, and conflict resolution with Project Management, Legal, Finance, etc.
• Provide routine reporting on contract status, risk, and compliance.
• Perform other administrative duties related to contract management.
