Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Contracts Manager – Industrial Construction / EPC to oversee construction subcontracts on major industrial projects in the United States, Alabama region. You will draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, monitor scope, schedule, and budget, and manage amendments, claims, and disputes.

The role requires a strong background in industrial EPC contracts, at least five years in contract management, and coordination with project teams and finance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing industrial construction contracts in an EPC environment.
• At least five years of contract management experience.
• Construction purchasing experience, including buying construction packages, evaluating bids or negotiating subcontracts.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, managing change orders, handling claims/disputes and completing contract closeout.

Contracts Manager – Industrial Construction / EPC

An established industrial construction business is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee construction subcontracts on major industrial projects.

You’ll manage agreements across trades including foundations, structural steel erection, piping and electrical, working closely with project management, construction, legal and finance teams.

Must-haves

• Proven experience managing industrial construction contracts in an EPC environment.
• At least five years of contract management experience.
• Steel mill or metals plant projects are ideal. Relevant experience on other major heavy industrial EPC/EPCM projects will also be considered.
• Construction purchasing experience, including buying construction packages, evaluating bids or negotiating subcontracts.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, managing change orders, handling claims/disputes and completing contract closeout.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong organisation, communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Your responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction subcontracts.

Package and working pattern

• Weekly allowances towards lodging, meals, travel and vehicle costs.
• Paid additional hours above 50 hours per week at a flat hourly rate.

• Typically 50+ hours per week, with occasional Saturdays and potential moves between projects.
