Job summary

FullShift Staffing seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team on a travel-friendly assignment in the United States. You will provide nursing care within scope of practice, following physician orders, center policies and state guidelines.

Travel bonus offered; candidates licensed in state or with a compact license are encouraged to apply, with preference for those with nursing management experience.

Qualifications

• LPN license required (state or compact).
• 1 year of nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice to meet patients' needs according to standards and physician orders.
• Notifies departments of patient changes and participates in education.
• Administers medications and treatments timely per facility policy.
• Records and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state or have a compact license.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred not required.
