Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Dillon, MT seeks a Nursing Manager to lead the facility's nursing team, ensure high quality care, and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include participation in quality improvement, staff education, medication and treatment administration, order transcription, and rounds with physicians. MT license required, experience in long-term care and PointClickCare charting.

Qualifications

• Must hold MT license or compact license where applicable.
• 1 year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience required.
• POINT CLICK CARE charting experience is preferred.

• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians as needed.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.

• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.

• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.

• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.

• Conducts family and patient education.

• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.

• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.

• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act

• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Have a compact license if working in a Compact state or current MT License

• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
