Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Senior Analyst to evaluate contracting, licensing, and advisory credentialing for financial representatives and staff. The role partners with compliance and field offices to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth lifecycle onboarding.
You will analyze complex cases, perform background investigations, and support process improvements across contracting, licensing, and registration functions. Excellent communication and detail orientation are essential.
Under the direction of the Manager and Referral Team, the CL&R Senior Analyst evaluates prospective financial representatives and staff for Northwestern Mutual contracting, licensing, registration, and advisory credentialing activities. The Senior Analyst independently analyzes complex and sensitive cases, conducts regulatory and background investigations, evaluates risk, and ensures compliance with Company, FINRA, SEC, state insurance, and state securities regulations.
This role serves as a key partner to field offices, compliance partners, and home office business areas by providing expert analysis, guidance, and customer support throughout the contracting and registration lifecycle. The Senior Analyst exercises sound judgment in evaluating non-routine situations, minimizing firm risk, and supporting business growth while maintaining regulatory compliance. The position also serves as a subject matter expert for projects, process improvements, and onboarding initiatives across Contracting, Licensing, Registration, Advisory, Terminations, and Support functions.
Attention to Detail - Focuses on specific details to spot and correct errors in advance of them being found and surpass quality expectations. Performs work with thorough proofreading for presentation, content, accuracy, and overall quality.

Industry Knowledge - D demonstrates extensive knowledge of common practices, regulatory considerations, market trends and the competitive landscape within a particular industry / sector to better understand and address
Continuous Improvement - Utilizes available methods to identify opportunities, executes solutions and measures impact to improve existing practices and processes. Implements feedback and lessons learned. Leverages the ability to identify and experiment assumptions and hypothesis for products to be able to refine and improve them at any stage of the life cycle.
Pay Range - Start: $21.77
Pay Range - End: $32.66
