Job summary

Quility is seeking a lead UX/UI designer for a temporary, full-time role of approximately 4 months with potential extension. You’ll own UI and design system work from day one and lead user research, optimizing UX workflows with AI.

Collaborate with a UX leader and a designer to shape product decisions, write specifications, and ensure fast, clear handoffs to engineering. Expect 9 to 5 EST hours with modern tools like Figma, Jira, Confluence, Amplitude, Claude, and Copilot.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing digital products with a portfolio showing process and outcomes.
• Strong UI craft in Figma: components, variants, auto layout, and working inside an existing design system.
• Hands-on research: planned, ran and synthesized interviews and usability tests, and demonstrated impact on design.
• Fast ramp-up: productive within your first week on a project.
• Complex B2B or enterprise experience: dashboards, tables, multi-step workflows, heavy tool usage.
• Practical AI fluency: using AI tools in real workflow while keeping human oversight.
• Ownership and follow-through: meet deadlines, flag risks, propose solutions.
• Clear, open communication: with UX team and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Keep design work moving: deliver high-fidelity designs in Figma for in-flight features.
• Work within our design system: use components and patterns and optimize team processes.
• Partner with engineering: write specs, handoff clearly, support during build, and participate in research and strategy.
• Plan and run user research: interviews, usability tests, synthesis and actionable recommendations.
• Shape product decisions: frame problems with product and engineering, weighing impact and feasibility.
• Use AI as a working partner: in research, synthesis, prototyping, and documentation with sound judgment.
• Improve and document processes: propose changes, test features, and capture learnings.
• Teach as you go: share techniques through pairing, sessions, and docs.
