Job summary

General Assembly is seeking instructors for its User Experience Design Immersive program. This full‑time, temporary role runs for a defined cohort with a potential for additional assignments.

Instructors lead in‑class sessions Monday through Friday, roughly eight hours daily, for 10–14 weeks, while preparing materials and giving timely feedback with a teaching team. Qualifications

• You have at least 2+ years of experience working in user experience design.
• Fluency in topics: Figma, UX Process, User Research and Personas, Usability Testing, UX Analysis, Information Architecture, Interface Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Analytics and Optimization, Mobile UX, and/or HTML/CSS.
• Completion of a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of a 4‑year degree.
• At least 2 years of practical experience within the last five years; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate in-class instruction Monday-Friday, approximately 8 hours per day, for the 10‑14 week duration of the program.
• Prepare lessons and materials a few hours per week, leveraging GA curriculum content.
• Provide meaningful and prompt feedback with co-instructors or teaching assistants.
• Guide students through development of a stellar final project for hiring managers.
• Foster a dynamic, collaborative classroom community and inspire perseverance.
