Job summary

SPACES by Hollie Velten is seeking a Contract Kitchen and Bath Designer to support residential kitchen and bathroom projects from concept through installation. Starting with 8–16 hours per week, the role involves floor plans, elevations, fixture selections, mood boards, design presentations, and specification schedules.

You'll coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors, with site visits around Maplewood, NJ.

Qualifications

Kitchen and bath design expertise including space planning, cabinetry layouts, and fixture/finishes selection.
Proficiency with design/drafting tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect or similar) and ability to read construction documents.
Strong visual communication skills for presentations, mood boards, and design narratives.
Excellent organization and time management when handling multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Support design and documentation of residential kitchen and bathroom projects from concept to installation.
Develop floor plans and elevations; select fixtures, finishes, and materials.
Prepare mood boards, design presentations, and specification schedules.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors; respond to project questions.
Conduct site visits in Maplewood, NJ; measure spaces; update drawings as needed.
