Job summary

Shockingly Different Leadership seeks an experienced Instructional Design Consultant to create high-quality instructional content in collaboration with subject matter experts. You will apply ADDIE-based methods and adult learning principles to design eLearning, videos, ILT, and manuals that align with client goals.

You will manage the content development lifecycle, ensure timely delivery, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design or Human Resources preferred.
• 3–5 years designing instructional/training programs and resources preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of design technologies such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience creating instructor guides, participant guides, self-directed development programs, and job aids.
• Proficiency with multimedia authoring and publishing tools (Storyline, Captivate, E-Learning Suite).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ADDIE is highly desired.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience publishing eLearning content to an LMS is a plus.
• Experience in needs analysis and development of training objectives is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, implement and revise instructional content resources (eLearning, videos, ILT, print, manuals).
• Collaborate with SMEs to identify training needs and learning solutions.
• Design and develop instructional material using adult learning principles and ID methodologies.
• Manage content development life cycle to ensure timely delivery.
• Aid in development and adherence to project timelines and scope.
• Maintain strong communication with SDL staff and clients.
• Work individually and collaboratively to meet deadlines and expectations for each project.
