Job summary

Gulf Island seeks an Electrician Helper to assist electricians in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electrical systems in an industrial environment. This contract position is estimated for 2–7 weeks.

Requirements include 1+ years of industrial electrician helper experience, familiarity with industrial electrical systems, and the ability to pass drug and background checks. OSHA or safety trainings are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years as an industrial electrician helper
• Experience with industrial electrical systems
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must pass background check
• OSHA certification or safety trainings (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembly, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues promptly
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ensure compliance with national, state and local codes
• Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment in good working order
• Collaborate with team members, contractors and clients
• Learn from Electrician and perform other duties as assigned
