Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf or Hard of Hearing students this school year. The contract runs from August 19, 2026 through early June 2027 in the northwest suburbs near Mount Prospect, IL, offering a meaningful role in inclusive education across classrooms and school events.

You will interpret English to ASL in academic settings, collaborate with teachers and families, and participate in IEP meetings while ensuring confidentiality and professional

Qualifications

• ASL proficiency required.
• Experience interpreting in K-12 settings preferred.
• Certification as Sign Language Interpreter (EIPA, RID, or NIC) required.
• Ability to interpret academic content and classroom communication.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between spoken English and ASL during classroom instruction, assemblies, and school events.
• Support students' communication needs in academic and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with staff to tailor interpreting services for individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethics in educational interpreting; participate in IEP meetings as needed.
