Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week onsite contract in San Antonio, TX. Night shift 12 hours per day, 3 days per week, ICU unit with 1:2 patient ratio and 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, NIH – Required, 2+ years of ICU experience and vasopressor experience. Meditech knowledge preferred; attendance and floating policies are noted in the job description.

• Provide critical care nursing for ICU patients.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Shift/Workdays: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Weekend: Rotating / Every other weekend

Call Requirements: No

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

IMPORTANT TRAVELER INFORMATION

All travelers are required to float.

Travelers should be informed of the Methodist Floating Policy during the interview.

The unit has experienced attendance issues, including call-ins and no-shows.

Do not submit candidates with a history of attendance issues.

  • 20 Med-Surg beds

• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 1:2

  • Med-Surg: 1:5

  • 1 PCA

  • 1 Unit Coordinator (UC)

• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend

• Floating Policy: As needed

HIRING PROFILE

REQUESTED SKILL SET

MUST HAVE:

• ACLS

• BLS

• At least 2+ years of experience

• NIH – Required

• Vasopressor experience

PREFERRED / ADVANCED SKILLS:

• Meditech experience preferred

SPECIALTY / UNIT CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Active TX RN License

• Temporary licenses are no longer accepted

• Navy scrub top and pants

• Navy or white scrub jacket

NAIL POLICY:

• Clean and healthy nails

HAIR / GROOMING:

• Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors

• Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

TATTOOS:

• Body art should be covered whenever possible

• Body art that cannot reasonably be covered daily will be addressed individually

PIERCINGS:

• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
