Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Lubbock, TX. The role features 12-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) with a 1:2 patient ratio and Epic charting. CVICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and trauma experience are preferred, with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.

The position offers a competitive weekly stipend of $1,267 and base pay of $936, with a total weekly pay around $2,203. Parking is free for staff, and a thorough orientation is provided.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NICU/ICU and cardiovascular trauma experience preferred.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Ability to float between units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care in ICUs with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Manage ventilators, drips, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Perform post-cardiac surgery care and neuro ICU tasks as needed.
• Support float between CVICU, SICU, Neuro ICU and Trauma ICU.

Job Requirements

Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Strong experience in cardiovascular surgery, trauma, ventilator management, chest tubes, central venous lines (CVLs), EVDs, neurosurgery, and laboratory interpretation.

Proficiency in critical care interventions, cardiac and vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response.

Ability to float between units as needed.

Schedule & Facility Details

Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts based on unit needs.

48-hour workweeks approved; no on-call required.

Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Short-Term Acute Care Hospital with 379 staffed beds and a Level II Trauma Center.

Dress code: Solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing personnel.

Free employee/visitor parking available.
