Search Wizards in Duluth, MN is hiring an HR Specialist I for a 4-month contract to recruit entry-level warehouse staff locally. You will engage with communities, attend job fairs, and partner with local organizations to attract candidates.

The role requires a high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year in relevant work, with flexible hours including weekends, and local travel up to 45 minutes. The team collaborates remotely while you work onsite at assigned locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months–1 year in customer service, recruiting, community engagement, sales or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Able to travel locally within ~30–45 minutes of the assigned work location.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with local communities to attract candidates for entry-level warehouse opportunities.
• Build relationships with community partners, housing communities, local organizations, and other talent sources.
• Represent the organization at job fairs, community events, information sessions, and other recruiting events.
• Distribute recruiting materials and conduct grassroots outreach in local communities.
• Deliver presentations and information sessions using provided materials.
• Support internal referral programs and other candidate-attraction initiatives.
• Identify creative ways to reach candidates in communities where traditional recruiting may have limited impact.
• Communicate regularly with recruiting teams and site stakeholders to share local market insights and recruiting activity.
