Job summary

BNY seeks a Fund Accounting Analyst with 2-3 years of experience to join a fast-paced team supporting private equity and credit fund clients. This 6-month contract role focuses on reconciliations, NAV preparation, and contributing to daily fund accounting operations while operating under tight client deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
2–3 years of accounting or fund accounting experience.
Strong understanding of reconciliations, debits/credits, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Fund Accounting Execution: Prepare and review trial balances, journal entries, and supporting schedules
Reconciliations: Perform cash and custody reconciliations and investigate variances independently
NAV & Reporting: Contribute to Net Asset Value calculations and ensure accuracy of fund reporting
Process Adherence: Work within established workflows, coordinating with offshore teams handling position-level reconciliations
Team Support: Assist junior team members and contribute to overall team deliverables
