Job summary

Harrington Starr is seeking a Junior Fund Accountant to join its close-knit finance and operations team in New York. With 2–3 years' fund accounting experience, you will focus on NAV oversight, reconciliations, and trade break resolution, working with prime brokers and external fund administrators.

Responsibilities include NAV preparation and pricing verification, partnership accounting, and assisting with audits and financial operations. A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fund accounting experience at a fund administrator.
• Hands-on NAV preparation or review.
• Strong reconciliations across cash, positions and trades.
• Understanding of partnership accounting, capital allocations and fee calculations.
• Advanced Excel lookups, pivots and reconciliation spreadsheets.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash, position and trade reconciliations across internal records, prime brokers and fund administrators.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, tracing discrepancies to root cause.
• Review daily and month-end NAV packs, checking P&L, positions, pricing, accruals and cash balances.
• Carry out independent price verification using market and broker sources.
