Job summary

Skill is seeking a Front-End Web Designer/Developer on a project-based contract to refresh high-priority pages and build new templates for three academic schools. You will translate designs into clean HTML/CSS for the CMS and collaborate with a back-end developer.

The ideal candidate blends strong visual/UX design with hands-on front-end coding, has CMS experience (BigTree preferred, WordPress/Drupal a plus), and can work independently in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio of website and digital design work.
• Hands-on proficiency with HTML and CSS; ability to produce clean, semantic front-end code.
• Experience designing for and working within CMS platforms (BigTree preferred).
• Experience with WordPress or Drupal is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Refresh and modernize high-priority pages (home, Stories).
• Design and produce templates and landing pages for three academic schools.
• Develop a reusable template framework for cross-school use.
• Translate designs into clean HTML/CSS for CMS integration.
• Create front-end deliverables and assets for backend handoff.
• Collaborate with Web Manager and backend developer; iterate based on feedback.
