Job summary

Khan Academy in Mountain View is seeking an Interim Associate Manager, Email Marketing to sustain and advance our digital fundraising during the end-of-year campaign. This contract role (20 hours/week) reports to the Director of Philanthropy and focuses on segmentation, copywriting, and production in SFMC.

You will build email journeys, manage data extensions with stakeholders, ensure QA, and collaborate with design and fundraising teams to deliver a cohesive multi-channel experience for donors

Qualifications

• 3+ years in digital fundraising or similar mass marketing.
• Experience using AI for copywriting and adapting voices.
• Experience in audience segmentation and A/B testing; building emails in SFMC.
• Collaborate with fundraising and marketing design teams to create a cohesive multi-channel experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Bias to action and mission-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Draft fundraising emails using distinct organizational personas and founder voices.
• Write and edit email copy for Oct, Nov, Dec campaigns to align with messaging and brand.
• Use existing AI tools to streamline copy-editing and production.
• Build email journeys and one-off emails with advanced segmentation and personalization.
• Manage detailed email data extensions and QA for accuracy of all emails.
• Collaborate across teams for EOY fundraising and participate in meetings as needed.
