Job summary

Sigma Design Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 6-month contract in Costa Mesa, CA. The role focuses on design, development, testing and integration of complex electrical hardware for defense-oriented autonomous systems.

The candidate will own hardware development from schematic capture to bring-up, with emphasis on robust, mission-critical performance in demanding environments. In-office, with benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years designing, testing, troubleshooting, and integrating complex electrical/PCB hardware.
• Strong background in analog, digital, and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle electrical hardware development from architecture through production.
• Design and layout high-density PCBs with Altium Designer.
• Develop power distribution, motor controller, actuator and embedded control circuits.
