RSPCA WA is seeking contract dog trainers to deliver dog training services in accordance with the RSPCA WA curriculum and guidelines. As a dog trainer, you’ll have the opportunity to work with owners and their furry companions, using positive reinforcement techniques.

Responsibilities :
- Consult with clients to understand and address canine behavioural issues and training requirements in one-on-one training sessions.
- During group training classes, f ollow a provided training curriculum broken down into weekly milestones.
- Instruct dogs in fundamental commands using effective, positive-reinforcement training methods.
- Educate clients on proper training techniques to reinforce and sustain their dogs’ acquired behaviours and skills.
Requirements :
- A dog training qualification that promotes ethical, positive practices (e.g., Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour or similar).
- Proven ability to provide high-quality, ethically minded dog training.
- Dog handling experience using ethical, positive techniques.
- A commitment to high-quality customer service.
- A good understanding of dog behaviour, including breed-specific traits.
