Job summary

Microsoft is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a seven-month contract, onsite in Richmond, VA, working with Allegis Global Solutions. The role drives large-scale data-center build projects from initiation through Ready-for-Service, coordinating with lease providers, vendors, and internal teams while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in data centers, strong communication and scheduling skills, and a PMP/LEED-aligned background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction PM experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years of strong communications experience in a PM/PMO role.
• 5+ years of construction scheduling experience.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction PM, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• PMP certification and LEED certification preferred; professional license preferred; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact and on-the-ground advocate for a safe and compliant worksite.
• Conduct daily site walks and report on construction progress, safety observations, and milestones.
• Manage lease providers and internal partner teams to deliver Ready-for-Service for each lease site location.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to align scope and schedule.
• Attend Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and report outcomes to stakeholders.
• Provide weekly project status reports on scope, schedule, and budget according to DCD standards.
