Gabletek Robotics and Controls Solutions is seeking a Contract Controls Engineer to support daily production and maintenance in an automated manufacturing plant in Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on standardizing PLC logic, reducing downtime, and improving equipment reliability across robotic and automated systems.

Responsibilities include supporting automated and robotic equipment, interfacing PLCs with ABB robots, and enhancing MTTR/MCBF while troubleshooting electrical controls and safety

Qualifications

• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Strong Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC experience (Studio 5000).
• Experience interfacing PLCs with ABB robots.
• Experience with Keyence and Cognex vision systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting using schematics and prints.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production and maintenance on automated and robotic equipment.
• Standardize PLC logic across lines and cells.
• Improve MTTR and MCBF.
• Find and implement cycle time and uptime improvements.
• Troubleshoot and modify Allen-Bradley PLC programs.
• Support ABB robot interfaces and Keyence and Cognex vision systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, I/O, safety circuits and networks.
