Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Cape Verdean.
• One+ years of professional interpreting experience.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Successful completion of interpreting proficiency evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Cape Verdean on onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation via telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and client requirements.
• Conduct professional interactions with clients and participants during assignments.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for accurate interpretation.
