Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and Haitian Creole.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation between English and Haitian Creole.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to reliably travel to onsite assignments.
• Health and immunization requirements may apply per client/site.
• Background, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required.
• Agreement to confidentiality, privacy, and professional ethics requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Haitian Creole during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, customers, and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
