Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong requirements gathering and process analysis experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methods.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools.
• Experience creating BRDs/FRDs and project documents.
• Ability to work independently in contract/project environments.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and sessions to gather requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing processes and identify improvement/automation opportunities.
• Create process flows, BRDs, FRDs, and other project documents.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, PMs, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with solution design, testing, UAT, and implementation.
• Develop test scenarios and support defect tracking and resolution.
• Analyze data and prepare reports to support business decisions.
• Identify risks, dependencies, gaps, and potential impacts of proposed solutions.
• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
• Track requirements to ensure solutions meet objectives.
• Support change management, training, and post-implementation activities.

The Position

Our financial industry client is seeking to fill a Contract Business Analyst role in the Dallas, TX market. The successful candidate will be responsible for working work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver effective solutions.

The position includes a generous hourly rate of up to $35/hr and an excellent benefits program. (This is not a remote position.)

Contract Business Analyst responsibilities include:

• Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.
