The Contract/Billing Lead provides senior-level contract administration and billing support while coordinating the day-to-day workload of the Contract Management team. This position distributes project work based on capacity, complexity, and deadlines; reviews complex billing and contract matters; supports resolution of escalated issues; and serves as a primary resource for Project Management, Accounting, Division leadership, and customers. The Lead provides technical guidance, training, mentoring, and onboarding support to Billing Specialists while maintaining responsibility for assigned project work.
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The employee must be able to analyze detailed contracts, billing records, and project documentation; manage multiple priorities and deadlines; communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers; exercise sound judgment; resolve complex problems; and maintain accuracy while working under time-sensitive conditions. Occasional lifting or moving of office materials weighing up to 20 pounds may be required.
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, phones, and other standard office equipment. The position requires frequent interaction with multiple departments, Division leadership, customers, and other external parties. Periodic overtime may be required based on project billing deadlines, month-end activities, and other business needs.
