Job summary

Zemi Tek, LLC, based in the Washington, DC metro area, seeks contract attorneys to support the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s litigation team.

Work with a large, coordinated group on MSPB/EEOC matters, with rapid professional development across research, writing, discovery, and hearings in a hybrid setting. Applicants should hold a JD from an ABA‑accredited school and have active bar status in DC or another U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current active bar membership in good standing in DC or other U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative or judicial litigation.
• Experience before MSPB, EEOC, or Federal tribunals preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills with ability to interview agency witnesses.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research and Analysis: conduct research on complex issues and provide memoranda.
• Legal Writing: draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documents.
• Case Development: interview witnesses and prepare them for testimony; assist with hearings.
• Discovery: take/defend depositions; assist with e-discovery and review.
• Conferences and Hearings: assist at conferences/hearings before administrative judges.
• Coordination and Communication: draft communications; coordinate with the team on matters.
