About the Opportunity

We are seeking multiple healthcare-focused Contract Attorney to support a large-scale contract review initiative driven by significant merger and acquisition activity. This individual will play a critical role in helping the organization work through a backlog of 500+ supplier verification requests while ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy and data-sharing requirements.

This is a highly collaborative position for someone who enjoys building and improving processes, partnering with stakeholders, and navigating complex contract language related to Protected Health Information (PHI). We are looking for a strategic attorney who can think critically, make recommendations, and help create sustainable workflows rather than simply execute against a predefined playbook.

Responsibilities

  • Review, remediate, redline, and draft contract language related to supplier verification requests.

  • Analyze existing agreements to identify risks involving Protected Health Information (PHI) and healthcare compliance requirements.

  • Review and support Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and determine when additional protections or revisions are necessary.

  • Partner with legal, compliance, procurement, privacy, and business stakeholders to resolve contract issues efficiently.

  • Recommend process improvements and help establish scalable workflows for contract review and supplier verification activities.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to address complex healthcare privacy and contractual concerns.

  • Maintain consistency across contract templates while adapting language to unique business requirements.

  • Support integration efforts resulting from mergers, acquisitions, and organizational growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed attorney with experience practicing law and reviewing commercial agreements.

  • Strong healthcare industry experience with a deep understanding of HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI).

  • Experience reviewing, negotiating, redlining, and drafting contracts.

  • Familiarity with Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and healthcare data-sharing requirements.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating across multiple business functions.

  • Proven ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare providers, payers, healthcare technology organizations, or other highly regulated healthcare environments.

  • Experience supporting contract integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.

  • Background working with procurement, vendor management, or supplier onboarding teams.

  • Experience developing contract review processes, playbooks, or governance frameworks.

Benefits and Compensation Details

  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

  • Benefit packages for this role will include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.

  • Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
