Job summary

Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience across payers, providers, and consumers. This role analyzes reimbursement contracts, loads terms between payers and providers, and collaborates with development teams to ensure accurate pricing methods and data loads.

The position reports to the Manager of Contract Configuration and requires timely responses to client issues. Hybrid work with base salary in the mid-market range, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management/Contracting.
• Intermediate to expert Excel skills and Microsoft product proficiency.
• Strong analytical and math abilities; detail oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Set up basic contract loads: simple SCAs, basic % of billed charges, basic % of Medicare, general carve-out codes and basic fee schedule set up.
• Interpret complex contract terms, analyze reimbursement methodologies, and rate structures (DRG, APC, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10).
• Load, maintain, and audit client contracts within the adjudication system.
• Validate and test contract configurations for claims pricing accuracy.
• Maintain fee schedule in contract databases and apply annual escalators for client auto renewals.
• Link contracts to payer products, update and maintain provider groups within client databases to ensure seamless claims routing.
• Handles confidential material on a regular basis and is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of such information within the established guidelines of Company and law. (HIPAA Compliance)

Position Overview

This position requires an incumbent to analyze healthcare reimbursement contracts and load contract terms between payers and providers in an accurate and timely manner using proprietary software. This position reports to the Manager of Contract Configuration and will collaborate with the programming and development teams in the creation and vetting of calculation methods, database loads, or changes. This position is an internal resource to staff and clients and as such is expected to respond to client issues and cases in a timely manner.

What You’ll Do

• Set up basic contract loads: simple single case agreements (SCAs), basic % of billed charges (BCs), basic % of Medicare, general carve-out codes and basic fee schedule set up.
• Interpret complex contract terms, analyze reimbursement methodologies, and rate structures (e.g., DRG, APC, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10).
• Load, maintain, and audit client contracts within the adjudication system.
• Validate and test contract configurations for claims pricing accuracy.
• Maintain fee schedule in contract databases and apply annual escalators for client auto renewals.

What You’ll Bring To Zelis

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management/Contracting field
• Microsoft product proficiency. Must be an intermediate to expert user of Excel
• Possess solid analytical and math skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies. While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Base Salary Range

$54,000.00 - $68,400.00

The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
