Accelera Staffing seeks an experienced Aircraft Structures Assembly Mechanic for a contract role in Wichita, KS. You will rig, install, inspect, and rework components focusing on shear webs and tags, while adhering to engineering documentation and quality standards.

Responsibilities include translating blueprints, using precision tools, performing setup and testing, training teammates, and ensuring tool certification status.

Competenze

• You must supply your own toolbox to be considered.
• Successful completion of the mechanic plate test is mandatory.
• Physical ability to stand and work throughout your shift is required.
• Flexibility to work 10–12 hour shifts, seven days a week, is necessary.

Mansioni

• Install and assemble structural subassemblies and components using approved procedures.
• Identify discrepancies in tags and shear webs and perform necessary rework.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering sketches, charts and instructions.
• Use shop math and precision measuring tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Make adjustments, rigging and sealing as required by the task.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with engineering and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct functional tests and resolve component-related issues to improve assembly reliability.
• Ensure equipment and tooling have valid certification status.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance such as checking coolant levels and replacing filters.
• Transport materials and assemblies with shop equipment to support workflows.
• Support team productivity by meeting schedules and assisting colleagues in inspection and installation techniques.
• Cross-train in inspection and pursue SIA qualification.
