Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Structural Modification Mechanic to modify and repair aircraft systems and structures within an MRO environment.

You will perform complete structural modifications to Aircraft and STC installations, and fabricate sheet metal parts from blueprints. The role requires 6+ years in Aircraft Sheet Metal with 3+ years in modifications, plus the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Aircraft Sheet Metal with 3+ years in Modifications.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints is a must.
• Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license.
• Starlink/GoGo Installation Experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Modify and repair aircraft systems and structures
• Complete structural modifications to Aircraft and STC Installations
• Accomplish Airframe structural repairs, including corrosion damage repairs, and crash damage repair
• Fabricate detail Sheet Metal parts from Blueprints
• Own and maintain basic hand tools and test equipment to perform assigned tasks
• Work and communicate closely with other shop and office personnel to assure smooth transition of all customer aircraft.
• Become familiar and proficient with all shop test and maintenance gear
• Perform all tasks assigned by Management in a timely and safe manner
• Maintain a Professional demeanor towards all Customers, be courteous, informative and sincere
• Maintain a clean and neat work area. Help with other housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provide backup to line personnel when they are moving aircraft in and out of the hangers
• Other activities and projects as approved by the Director of Maintenance or the Program/Department Manager.
