Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to install, seal, rig, inspect and complete structural components from drawings and specifications. You will use precise tools, test equipment, and follow process instructions to ensure quality and traceability.

Physical work includes drilling, riveting, lifting parts and moving materials on concrete floors; all shifts may be required. This is a union-represented role with comprehensive benefits under the local agreement.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of aircraft structural sheet metal experience or Aero Structural Training.
• Ability to work any shift, including alternative work weeks.
• Able to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and lift/move parts/tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete structural components from drawings and process specs.
• Use prints and work instructions to obtain required information.
• Operate measurement and testing equipment and tools.
• Move products within the manufacturing area and hand off to the next operation.
