Placements24 is seeking an AI Ethics Advisor to guide responsible AI development and deployment in Upington, Northern Cape. The role collaborates with legal, engineering, and product teams to embed ethical principles into AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in a technology ethics-related field and has proven advisory experience in AI ethics, governance, and regulatory landscapes. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a technology ethics or AI-focused field.
• Proven experience advising on AI ethics, responsible AI, or governance.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and societal implications.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on ethical issues in AI development and deployment.
• Review AI projects to assess ethical risks and mitigation options.
• Develop and refine AI ethics policies, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions/workshops on AI ethics for multiple teams.
