Job summary

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our Legal & Compliance team in the United States, supporting contract reviews across the organization and ensuring documentation aligns with company standards.

Based in one of our U.S. offices (Charlotte, Alpharetta, Houston, or Denver), you will draft, review, and manage high volumes of contracts, coordinate stakeholder input, and help maintain strong contract administration processes while collaborating across business teams.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, legal operations, procurement support, paralegal work, or similar function.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management and document control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage high volume of contracts, including NDAs, data processing agreements, lease agreements, software licenses, MSAs, and other commercial agreements.
  • Administer the contract legal review process by tracking requests, coordinating stakeholder input, supporting approvals, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Prepare, format, and manage contract documentation, including amendments, renewals, and related correspondence, using established templates and procedures.
  • Partner with internal business teams, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and other stakeholders to support timely reviews and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Maintain contract repositories, monitor key dates and obligations, support reporting activities, and identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes.

Job Description Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Contract Administrator to join our Legal & Compliance team. In this role, you will support contract legal review processes across the organization, ensuring reviews are accurately documented, properly routed, and maintained in accordance with company standards and applicable requirements. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders and Legal & Compliance colleagues to help facilitate timely and effective contract reviews.

Location: This position can be based out of our Charlotte, NC, Alpharetta, GA, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain contract repositories, monitor key dates and obligations, support reporting activities, and identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes.
What you’ll bring:
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration, legal operations, procurement support, paralegal work, or a similar function.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management, document control, and common commercial contract terminology.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, legal studies, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with contract management systems such as Conga Contracts/Novatus and Certa.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
